Oak Grove, Kentucky – Churchill Downs and Keeneland, two racetracks with contrasting cultures, recently broke common ground on a new standardbred racing facility in Oak Grove, Kentucky.
Oak Grove Racing and Gaming, to be constructed at an estimated cost of $150 million will be built in two phases. The first phase will include a harness race track, stable facilities and a paddock. The second phase, which will feature a grandstand, an amphitheater, a 5-Story Hotel and gaming facilities for 1,500 historical racing machines, is expected to be completed in the first half of 2020.
